Nana Kwaku Osei, widely known as Nacee, has expressed confidence that the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) will receive heightened exposure and attention if he secures the Artiste of the Year title.
During an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, the renowned composer of ‘Aseda’ highlighted that his victory would be groundbreaking for the event. He reasoned that while his contenders had previously held the spotlight, his win would mark a significant moment for TGMA, garnering more public interest and coverage.
Nacee emphasized the importance of faith in his pursuit of the award, citing a prophecy about being interviewed by the BBC post-victory, where he intends to mention Charter House, the organizers of TGMA, thereby amplifying the event’s publicity.
Confident in his abilities and divine destiny, Nacee shared his belief in deserving all four nominations he received, including Gospel Artiste of the Year, Gospel Song of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, and Artiste of the Year. He remains optimistic about emerging victorious in all categories but maintains that losing would not diminish his career.
Competing against industry heavyweights such as King Promise, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, and reigning champion Black Sherif for the Artiste of the Year title, Nacee remains undeterred, viewing the award ceremony as an opportunity to celebrate excellence in Ghanaian music.
The TGMA event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 1, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), promising an exciting evening of recognition and celebration within the music industry.
